Stabilit is acquired.

IMSA Signode, born first from a joint venture with ITW, is acquired.
1983
Formet is established.
1984
Multypanel is established.
1987
Acumex, today Enertec, is acquired.
1989
Cuprum is acquired.
1991
Davidson Ladders and Davidson Manufacturing are acquired in the USA.
1992
APM is acquired.
1994
Grupo IMSA acquires 100% of Metl-Span in Dallas, TX.
1997
Glasteel is acquired in Memphis, TN.
Ingasa is acquired in Guatemala.
1998
Enertec emerges from a joint venture between Grupo IMSA, Johnson Controls and Varta.
Louisville Ladder Group emerges from the joint venture between Grupo IMSA and Emerson Electric.
1999
IMSA Varco Pruden emerges from a joint venture with VP Buildings.
IMSA Monclova emerges with the acquisition of AHMSA’s coated steel facilities.
Grupo IMSA acquires 100% of Empresas IPAC, today Grupo IMSA Chile.
Enertec’s recycling plant converts to Green Process.
2000
Steelscape and ASC Profiles are acquired.
Metl-Span plant in Richmond, Virginia starts operations.
2001
VP Buildings is acquired in the USA.
Glasteel plant in Moscow, TN starts operations.
Bayer IMSA emerges from a joint venture with Bayer AG.
Valmont Formet emerges from a joint venture with Valmont Industries.
2002
MSC Pinole Point, now part of Steelscape is acquired in Richmond, CA.
Lightfield, today Stabilit Europa, is acquired in Barcelona Spain.
2003
Cray Valley is acquired in Miranda de Ebro, Spain.
2004
Grupo IMSA acquired 49% of the equity of Louisville Ladder Group. The acquisition gives Grupo IMSA 100% control of this company through its subsidiaries IMSALUM.
Johnson Controls, our partner for six years assumes 100% ownership of Enermex, our battery division.
